Women

Rooted | Bearing good fruit

A garden is purposeful, allows for freedom, but also creates diversity alongside structure. In the same way, we want to be intentional in what we offer as a women's ministry as we love God, love others, and make disciples. We want every woman to be rooted and bearing good fruit.

Revelation: Hearing the Last Word by David M. Levy

David Levy wrote this book with the following purposes in mind:

  • To provide a chronological timeline of God’s program so that the reader will understand the proper sequence of events through the book.
  • To provide a dispensational, pretribulational, premillennial interpretation of Revelation.
  • To provide a commentary that will appeal to young Christians who are not well-versed in Scripture, as well as to mature believers who have an in-depth knowledge of Revelation.
  • To stir every believer to a deeper commitment for the Lord in light of end-time events.
  • To promote a concern for the lost souls of people who will suffer the judgments mentioned in this book.

The Gospel of Luke (Part 2) by J.D. Greear

Who is Jesus of Nazareth, and what does he ask of us? For help answering these questions, we can turn to Luke’s orderly account of Jesus’s life and ministry—the Gospel of Luke. In this twelve-session series, pastor and author J.D. Greear will walk through the second half of Luke’s Gospel, highlighting who Jesus is, what he did, and how the people around him responded. Luke shows us that Jesus is the savior who came to seek and save people in need, including us—and we must decide how to respond when he lovingly moves toward us.

The Way of Wisdom: A Study of the Book of Proverbs

The book of Proverbs describes godly wisdom as a path that leads to life and flourishing. It also warns of the folly of worldly wisdom as a path that leads to the grave. Every day we face the choice between the true riches of God’s instruction or the fool’s gold of earthly pleasures and pursuits. How often do we call to mind the wisdom found in the sayings of Proverbs to shed light on the path before us? How relevant do we even believe these ancient words are to our modern world?

The Names of God

Today’s culture and others’ views, even those of other Christians, can present a distorted view of God. Some suggest God exudes qualities He does not possess such as being unloving or apathetic toward His creation. In a world where we find people creating God in their own image, studying God’s names can remind us that we are created in His. In fact, one of the best ways to know God’s true character and grow closer to Him is to study His names.
In The Names of God, Melissa Spoelstra leads women on an exploration of the many names of our triune God―from El and Elohim to Yahweh and its many combinations to names such as Abba, Jesus, and Holy Spirit…and many others.
